To Bishftl,
Man, what state are YOU in? I'm in NJ and the last two boxes I got where marked and skunked!
Are you simply getting lucky, or are you getting your bank manager to request special boxes, or is it because you're ordering quantity?
Thank!

i order from 3 different banks 4 boxes each. its a matter of being persistent and patient. the bad streaks happen more often than good but I keep at it and once in a while I get a few good boxes in a row. no monster boxes but every find makes it harder to think there's nothing left to find.
thinking of taking a trip to texas, or VA where it seems to grow on trees.

I am curious, when you say you order from three different banks are you ordering from three different branches of the same bank or three separate banks? I live in Houston and have not found a single piece of silver in a box yet.

@bbradford71 two different banks. 2 branch for 1 and 1 for the other. it's nice because the two banks I use have branches next door to each other in 6 different parts of town.

Is there a reason the rim on this coin looks so weird to me? I pulled it weeks ago but can't seem to get rid of it because I just feel like it's special...

I used to keep coins with odd rims like that, but after a while, I had so many, I figured they couldn't be of any value, so back to circulation they went.

Might be an early strike. I don't see anything that would justify a premium.

That's what I figured, for some reason it just seemed different enough to hold onto, but now I can toss it back and try my luck with 5 whole dimes.

Ozerman, when I started I had many coins that looked slightly odd/different. After 6 months I went back through and threw back TONS, similar to what you have above, realizing they aren't actually that rare. Such is life :S
