Pungod, I don't understand why you can only buy one $500 box or bag per week. Buy, sort, dump. You can do that in one day. Rinse, repeat.

I found a bank here in Houston that has coin counting machines so I signed up for an account today. I have been very reluctant to do this as I do not want multiple accounts with multiple banks but I am tired of rolling all of my dumps and feeling guilty when I pull up to the teller window with $500 in half's to deposit every week and $100 in nickels every day. I also like the idea of trying to buy full bags from the coin counting machines as they fill up, might be better than boxes.

Penman77:
I work 9:00-5:30 M-F and there are NO banks around me to run to at lunch (rats!). The only grocery store bank open until 7:00 is my dump bank. I find I really only have time for Sat mornings runs only. This really kinda sucks becuase I often hear: "Yes we have several rolls but the vault teller is only here during the week so..."

While I was home in Delaware over winter break I visited 6 different TD banks that all told me they could not order halves, and despite my politeness, every single one of them was very rude about it.

Back at school now and the first TD I hit I asked the teller. She couldn't have been happier and more polite to order me a box. Coming in next week and super excited

Four boxes this week, here are the totals and a question....
(2) 90% (one Kennedy 64 and a 35 Walker)
(31) 40%
(4) NIFC
No proof, 87, or foreign
And my question.......six of the 40%ers looked just like the pic...they are like "mountain dew toned"...does this have any collector interest and/or add any value? It has a lot more yellows and greens in hand that the camera doesn't seem to grab.

Wow, if all the tellers at TD Bank are rude, you should tell them to take their business and shove it up their....well you know the rest. I can understand one particular branch having a rude employee, but all six TD Banks? Talk about bad luck.

Well four more boxes and I found 2 proofs a 1977 and a 1979
with a clear S (which I did not have in my Dansco) so I filled a hole
in real nice condition for being in circulation. Someone must have just dumped them recently.
I pick up 24 more boxes today if I do not find any silver I'm going to quit halves for a while and do some more pennies and try and fill some more holes in my Dansco
Good luck to all.

I was off today, and went to a couple of banks. A few loose halves, but nothing good. I decided to go by one more bank, and the teller asked me if I wanted $500 worth. She said they actually had a whole box! I asked her if it was a dump, and she said no, they had ordered it. I didn't have the money today, but I'm going back tomorrow...

19 more boxes to go and 4 to pick up this is the last
