Picked up another grand today. If I get skunked on this it will put me at $18 grand.

wrestling, I can't believe how bad your record is. I've only done one box and it had already been searched but I have another coming next week. I gotta admit even if I got to just 10 boxes of skunk I would be so frustrated I'd give up. I commend you on your determination.

I got the box. Brinks box, so no silver. Only keepers in it: '04P and '05P. I dumped the box, and hit more banks. At one bank, a teller had just two halves, and dropped one. I heard a CLANG... a '66! I was on my way home, and found a '65 somewhere else. Not bad for just driving around.

I too have had nothing but skunk boxes, they are Brinks boxes and I know that Brinks doesn't roll the coins themselves but I wonder if the company that buys the Brinks wrappers is searching the coins first and separating out the silver. The only luck I have had with finding silver is from teller trays.

I just think when it comes to silver we are seeing the point of diminishing inventory. Let's face it folks, these coins have been in circulation at least 40 years. There will come a day when there just aren't more to find. I mean heck, and Indian Head cent is made of copper and you might find one or two a year. They are 100 years old. Make sense to reason then that 40 years of silver pulling, we are lucky to find as much as we do now.

Thanks Ozerman... it does suck lol. Dimes keep me sane, I will get an average of 1-2 per box. Nothing great at all, but still fun. I get butterflies when I see a silver, is that sad? lol I really get mad when I have 10 Canadians per box, excited for nothin lol

I'm on a 10 box skunk streak. In fact, I've never pulled a single silver out of a box. I've only been doing this for a few months. I'm about to search my first box since around the holidays. Wish me luck!

@bishftl
Although your silver pull wasn't great you sure did pull a lot of NIFC's, I am lucky to find one or two per box.

Box #5 Pretty much got skunked ! 2 NIFC 2004 2007 I was wondering about all the marked coins I come across -- Are these marks from people who are searching errors and variaties, or are they from roll hunters?

8 boxes: 3-40% in box one skunks for boxes two and three. I'm not excited about the rest but will drudge through them this weekend. Maybe a barber will come out of nowhere

6 boxes this week. I found 3 40%s. In the last few months, things have really fallen off. Given everyone else's luck, I am beginning to think the gig is almost up. There are too many searchers chasing a reduced number of coins.
