I got skunked for silver on my 11th box. I've never pulled a single silver out of a box. I got 5 NIFC and an interesting first! A 1982 Panama Medio Balboa.

You all have inspired me to do some Half Dollar roll hunting! A couple years ago I was at the local Casino and the Half Dollar machine I was on started spitting out Walkers and Franklins. I got 16 walkers and a couple Franklins.

Finished up a couple more boxes this weekend. I have now gone through 18 THOUSAND DOLLARS in half dollars and haven't found a single silver coin. I have even marked coins before to see if I'd get them again, and I haven't received them back yet. I don't know what to think.

I'd say try splitting up your weekly order between a couple banks and see if you can strike some silver

Wrestling, I hate to beat a dead horse but why won't you go to a different bank? Create a new account somewhere or go to a different branch. I know almost certain that some courier employees will do what they can to discourage coin hunting. For some reason, some of them think we're the devil! I think they should consider it job security but I guess they don't like the terrible heavy lifting they have to do. I believe the courier has the opportunity to pass searched coins back and forth between coin hunters.

I got a new account at a bank last week and discovered that at one branch the get Brinks boxes but at another branch they get string and sons boxes, to me this is pretty cool because I can order boxes from both branches and those boxes will be from different couriers. This is a game all about odds, and the more you can increase those odds in your favor you better chances you have of finding silver.
I have been ordering boxes from one bank and had a 6 box skunk streak going, had not found a single piece of silver in a box until Friday, found 5 40%'s so I am going to increase my boxes to two a week from two different banks and see if my luck increases.

Maybe I'll try opening a new bank account somewhere. I'll have to see what they do for returning coins, some won't take the coins back if I order them, maybe I'll just dump them at the bank that gives me skunks :D

$772 worth of halves today ($500 box, $200 loose rolls, $72 misc. loose halves).
3 x 90% (all '64 JFK)
3 x 40%
2 x NIFC ('03d, '05p)
Not bad considering I haven't done halves in quite a while (I switched to dimes last year due to too many skunks on halves in my area...). This was just a little "test" to see how things are now...pleased with todays results, and I just might get back into halves....we'll see...

Boxes 4-7 of my 8 box order gave up:
1-40%, skunk, skunk, 1-40%
That makes 4 skunks out of 7 boxes. #8, be the one baby!
Wrestling: You are on the right track. Once you found that you are in someone else's dump streak, your best bet is to also dump there, that way you are both putting dumps into the same place. It is also important to make sure your new bank uses a different courier, or you will be right back where you started.

Every bank I go to and ask if they have any halves has not a single one. I might start going to the many banks around here regularly and asking just to see. My pickup bank always offers to get me boxes of them but ehh ... from what I've seen thus far the finds are always in loose/rolls. Would it be impolite of me to walk into banks I don't have an account at and ask if they have any halves?
