JFK Half Dollar Roll Hunters: Silver, Proofs And Other Finds

going to Laughlin tomorrow, anyone know if any casinos left with the old school non-ticket machines. I remember playing in one a couple years back but can't remember which. anyways want to check out the counting machines there.

bishfti: I was just in Vegas last week and some of the Fremont Street casinos still had nickel and quarter machines that accepted and paid out in coin but I couldn't find any half dollar or dollar machines that did. I did see some dollar tokens and half dollars in the cashiers cage at Fitzgerald's but there was a long line...

Look in the back corners for the older machines at the smaller casinos, that would be your best bet. Also watch the Black Jack tables for halves, if they have them they would likely be visible there, then you can go on and request some at the cage.

Holy crap Silverng2009... I have gone through $30 THOUSAND in halves and haven't found a single one, you're raking in the silver over there! WOW!

Did one box on Thursday. $500. BOA. Brinks Rolled. Box was busted and taped. Some of the rolls were taped. I knew I had "fresh" coins after going through 2 or 3 rolls. Very refreshing after several boxes that were marked and obviously searched. Ended up with an ugly gold plated bicentennial, several 2011 P&D's, a couple proofs, 4 40%, one 1964 Kennedy and a 1944 WL. Very exciting. Best box since my first BOA box.

Wrestling_135, when you said you've searched through $30,000 in halves and haven't found a silver, do you mean you have not EVER found a silver, or it's been $30,000 in face value of halves since you last found a silver? I just want to make sure I know what you mean.

2 boxes today - total was 5 40s 1 90 only my second 1987 P and finally my first 1976-S Silver Bicentennial proof now I'm still missing that 1970 coin!
