I get a couple of rolls from my bank a week (seems like only one branch of my bank even has any halves). If I don't find any silver (which I never do) I just keep or spend them instead of re-rolling them and bringing them back.

Man, You have great luck M0nks. Here's a pic of the 2 beat up 1984 S proofs I found today. I'm wondering if since so many of the halves we find, either proof or circulated have green paint on them, if they're not used in St. Patrick's Day or Mardi Gras celebrations or something.

Quote: Wrestling_135, when you said you've searched through $30,000 in halves and haven't found a silver, do you mean you have not EVER found a silver, or it's been $30,000 in face value of halves since you last found a silver? I just want to make sure I know what you mean. I believe he has found silver before. That is just his current skunk streak.

I picked up my second bank box today (along with my normal box of nickels and a half-bank-box of dollars). :-)
In the halves I found:
- 1x 1964 in beautiful shape - A short stack of assorted NIFCs - 1x BU 1971 (in fact, the best one I've ever found in a roll; that one's in my Kennedy album now).
I might post pictures later.

Silverng2009 - What banks do you go to in Albany, and where do you dump? (of course, if you don't mind me asking) I'm pretty sure of where you dump, as one bank locally (all their branches) have machines. All your luck has got me excited!
The reason I ask where you dump, is so that I don't get your dumps, and you don't get mind. No reason to be doing that to each other, in my opinion.
I get my first box this Thursday, I hope.

Murrellington is correct, I have found silver before, but that is my current skunk streak. Owassokie I haven't opened that account yet, I've been swamped with work/school and other personal issues. I'll get there when things slow down a bit. Maybe a promotion will come out or something for opening an account :)

Quote: I am curious, we all go to banks and order boxes, would it be possible to go to Brinks or Loomis directly and buy boxes or bags of halves directly from them? I know that Loomis has two locations in the city in which I live.
bbradford71, I checked with Brinks on this and you have to have a commercial account with a storefront address where they can deliver, will not allow anyone to come to their location.

My bank happened to have $50 of CWR halves today. I bought them and found 7 40%!
Today was a good day.
