I am so excited right now. Picked up 2 boxes at lunch. Opened the first and edge searched a couple rolls...nothing. Opened the second and met with several enders. Picked one up. Yes...silver. Flipped it over...Silver. Found 7 with silver on both ends. More than that with a single silver ender. All are 40%. I opened 1 double ender, 2 single enders and one non-silver ender and came out with 29 40%. Just got home and getting ready to dig in. I'm so excited I'm shaking.

You know... I was wondering that. Olde Saratoga has a shop right down the street, so that doesn't surprise me. AND, there are a ton of banks real close to each other. The two I found weren't close to that area. One in Latham (going toward Halfmoon), so not near anything, and the other was in Loudonville. Maybe I will try Schenectady, or somewhere else less populated. Numerous banks mentioned how they get 3-4 people a DAY asking for halves.

Silverng, Quote, "one of the tellers told me all the silver ones from 1964 were removed by the government so I wouldn't find any" I doubt that very much. If anyone is removing it the tellers are. First of all the federal reserve doesn't roll coins it is contracted out and done by Loomis and other's and I doubt if they are removing it because otherwise we would not find any. I have found silver from all the couriers I have dealt with so far at different banks. The half dollar pool is just like a stock pot on the stove. you throw all the scraps in it, but every once in a while someone throws some meat in (silver) and some lucky person finds it.

I haven't added my counts lately because I haven't had a lot of luck. Out of about $6k worth of boxes I have found about 30 or so of 40% and 4 @ 90%. Waiting on luck to come back my way.

That's averaging about 3 coins per box. I would take that average and be very happy. Speaking of which, I got a box today and found a 1966, 1967, and a 1968.

Sounds like some good luck is going around, anybody searching here in in the southeast? Sounds like a lot of you are in the west and mid west.
