ive sold a hand ful of nifc's on my ecrater site. I need to inventory the 4 rolls, I have, photograph them and list them. I was putting them up for $1.50 each. and that seems to be a fair price; all of mine sold!

bishftl, How do you know if the 1965, 1966, 1967's are sms? I have bunch from that box that are beautiful and remind me of the pic you took of your 1967 sms. Thanks in advance for your help. Also, others are welcome to add their thoughts about how to identify sms issued coins.

Thanks,

Okie

special mint set coins tend to be proof-like.

and a 1967 sms compared to normal.
they don't always look this shiny, as far as I have seen.

just like a normal proof there is some reflection but not as clear as the normal proof.

Thanks kenscott, but what I really need to know is how do you know when you have found one, ie: how do you differentiate them from a business strike?

all 2002 to present are NIFC. 1987 also since they were only in mint sets.

How much do you guys think a roll of NIFC P & Ds from the 2000's would sell for?

Quite pleased with my haul for this week, in four boxes I scored 43 silvers and 12 NIFC's.
Box 1:
1974s
1987p

1952, 1957 Franklins
7x 1964
1965
2x 1967
1968
1969

Box 2:
2002p

2x1964
1967

Box 3:
1987p

1949, 2x 1962 Franklins
3x1964
1964d
1967

Box 4:
3x2002p
2002d
4x2003p

1962 Franklin
1964
4x1964d
1965
2x1966
4x1967
5x1968

Every single one of the Franklins came as a pleasant surprise- I rim search as I slide the coins out of their rolls to see if theres any silver, and then quickly flip through and check dates/errors- as they all looked like junk or 40% kennedy's.
Happy hunting to all.

Long story short...my bank was open today between the hours of 10am to 2pm. At 10am, I picked up 2 boxes.

At 1pm, I returned those, and picked up 2 more.

Here's what I found in all 4 boxes...

JFK-Half-Dollar-Roll-Hunters:-Silver,-Proofs-And-Other-Finds

19 40%
1 90%
3 clad proofs

I don't remember the last time I spent $11.50 and had as much fun!

Congrats JBM.

Scotty, The way I would look at it "when was the last time you had so much fun making $100 bucks!" You didn't spend any money my friend...those halves are just on loan until you sell them for 10x or 20x their face value :) I'm selling my 40%, but only to buy .999 or 90% silver.

Bish, Thanks a bunch for the clarification (with pictures). Helps a lot. Did I understand correctly that the SMS are the ones with LESS detail?!?!

Okie
