JFK Half Dollar Roll Hunters: Silver, Proofs And Other Finds

I filtered back through about $65 of halves I had went through for silver and found a 2008 NIFC.

This coming Thursday, my secondary bank should have two boxes for me. I just hope they are not from
Brinks seeing how I would like to have a fighting chance of finding something out of my $1000 search.

BTW, this will be my first major search of halves.

Dunno how you see less detail, but the sms are proof-like.

I picked up over $1000 in rolled and loose halves from many different banks last week. My total yield was 39 silver-clad, 2 1964's, and a 1952-D Franklin with possible FBL in very pleasing, toned AU grade. There were only a couple NIFC coins in the whole pile, including one nice 1987-P. There was also a single 1976-S clad proof plus a 1979-S SBA dollar. The rejects weigh a ton but I guess I can cope!

After getting some volunteer hours gardening for my piano teacher(shes senior citizen) her husband took me inside and showed me his stash he hoarded. He has 80lb of wheats and bags of franklins, walkers, and barbers. He also had 5 rolls of mercs and about 5 rolls of slq's, including some gem morgans(CC) I was blown away as I had never seen a morgan, SLQ or a barber. I taught him about keys and errors. He told me that about 10 years ago his house was robbed and 2 dansos full of walkers and franklins were stolen along with other silver. So I'm in the process of ordering him a RedBook and albums so he can put his sets back together again. My goal is to be able to search those wheats :D :D :D

I'm going through a lot of Kennedys looking for silver,
my question is this :

What Kennedys after 1970 are easiest to sell on E-bay?
I find a lot of 2000 and 2001 in the boxes, are those generally easy to sell for say a buck?

What other dates are easiest to sell ?

Which banks are most likely to have the 50 cent pieces and also which banks are willing to order them for you? I would love to search them also and do the running tally with everyone. Any suggestons are most appreciated. Thank you in advance.

It seems quite random. I go to each bank in my area, and ask them. I don't have an account with any of them, and unless I'm ordering a box, they are happy to get rid of them. One branch of Citizen's Bank offered to order me a box. My girlfriend banks with First Niagara, and one branch near me offered to order me a box (which they have). I gave her $500 and told her when she gets back home in CT, to order a box there, too. But the branch of First Niagara that she goes to refused to order her any. So you just need to go around, or call, and ask.

None are likely to have them, because they are no longer used in commerce outside of casinos. Ordering is optional, and it helps to have a business account.
