Quote: My avatar is just a picture of a coin that I really like that I found online. It can be but doesn't have to be your own coin. How do you get it round, do you edit it before you send it here, or did CC do it for you here?

Picked up several CWR's today. Saw two enders and thought I was onto a solid roll, or at least half solid, but they were just enders...

OK, been busy so havent posted in a few weeks. Here's the score...
last couple weeks of Jan we did 12 boxes and got 10 40% and 2 64. Then VACookey hit a box on the 2nd of Feb with 4 Bens, 55, 61x2, and 62. Also in that box were 21 40%. Between then and today, 5 boxes and 3 40%. Then today... 2 boxes and a total of 101 40% and 2 64. POW.
Just shows that you have to keep going even when you are getting skunks and onesy twosey boxes. The silver is there, just gotta keep looking.
And the weird thing about these boxes. Not a lot of nice coins at all. Its been over a month since there were any good BU or NIFC coins. And the boxes are from several different branches of a couple few different banks.

Eddie, That's an unbelievable first box. Congrats. If you don't mind, give us some specs. What part of the country you from? What bank and/or courier do they use?
Okie

First 2 boxes since my monster box. Got a 1967 and a 1965 in silver, 1 NIFC, 1 gold plated 1974, and I believe a DDO 1974D. I had dreams of getting a box full of 1968's and 1969's since most of the monster box were 1967, 66, and 65's. Okie

I called two separate grocery stores to ask about their Coinstars and stopped in a local bank which has a small coin counting machine... they all said they have a vendor that is altered remotely that the machine needs to be emptied. I asked if I could by any coins, and they said they don't have access. Any ideas where else to check for this?

Thank you all! In spite of my efforts to understate it it's good to see a $1000+ profit on a single box doesn't go unnoticed around here. As we all have learned, it's hit and miss. When the armored car companies get these bags from the banks, they audit them separately from the coin they get from the other banks. That's my understanding. That's why typically one can say the coin one gets in a particular box was all from one particular bank. That's about all I can say, that's how this coin is typically boxed. Oh, and, indeed, this was a once-in-a-lifetime box for us!
