Waiting on 2 boxes on Friday. Hopefully my teller ordered them. I don't like to bug them about it; gotta kinda tread carefully. It's hard to wait. They're always late. She says Tuesday, it comes Friday. She says Friday, it comes a week later on Friday. Oh well.

In the meantime, I'll try local banks for loosies and bought 2 boxes o' dimes to keep me busy. Much harder visually than looking at halves.

Been going through withdrawls as my bank forgot to order my halves last week.

Box's 1,2,4 were skunks
Box 3 had
11,90% 1 was a Benjamine
and 4,40%
Also found a 1987s proof but it is in terrible condition
so I threw it back

When cashing in some dimes Wednesday, the head teller told me the boxes should be in today.

I have NEVER searched a box before so I am hoping for the best.

BTW, I read a thread elsewhere that some are just weighing machine wrapped rolls.

They are using weight amounts to either open, or not open, their rolls. Has anyone here
heard of doing this or done it themselves?

Also, I have saw machine rolled halves for for as much as $13 or so plus $3.99 shipping.
If the people selling these know the weighing principle, they would pretty much be making
money with almost no risk.

Yes, I would imagine that doing so would lead to negative feedback. I did notice that some of the bigger sellers clearly asked that negative feedback not be left if silver was not found. One even clearly stated the odds were that one would not find silver.

Personally, I do sell on E-Bay but my stuff is more along the sterling side and some historical items. The only rolls of half dollars I ever recall selling on E-Bay were all 90% coins.
