I just started ordering halves at a local bank. The head teller is simply amazing. She is very kind, and willing to order me halves. On top of that, she said I could come in any time to get a box of pennies/nickels/dimes/quarters, because she always has plenty of them. To say thank you, I got her a Dunkin' Donuts gift card as a thank you. I just wanted to start things off on the right foot, and to show that what she is doing is appreciated. She was more than happy to accept it.

Are 2001Ps considered NIFCs? I seem to be reading conflicting information between posts here and other parts of the web?

Also, are 2001Ds worth keeping in addition to 2001Ps. If so, I just sent a bunch of nice 2001Ds back to the bank but still have some in my loose pot still needing to be re-rolled.
I did keep the 2001Ps I found and I found quite a few.

picked up 6 cwr a few days ago, forgot about them as I was in no rush to deposit them back and besides, I figured they had all been search.

NYBrian...you are just asking for trouble...you should have just said thank you and leave it at that. She is just doing her job. Now what if the other gals say why didnt I get a gift card? Then you have to buy for everyone....see you just started trouble...just sayin...

^ Agreed. My thought when I read NYB's post was that I would have dropped off a box of donuts instead.

Or a tray of home made cookies. It looks better because you did not buy it per say you went to the trouble to make it for them just like they go through trouble for us

2 boxes searched today -- First box was a skunk except the 2 nifc -- 2nd box gave up 1 40% and 7 NIFC and a 79 proof.
As far as rewarding tellers -- I own a quick service restaurant, hence the easier access to boxes (business acct). So from time to time I bring a drink order with me when I pick up my boxes. Never hurts to grease the wheel!
12 boxes 18 40 % 5 90% (1 Franklin) 21 NIFC 3 Proofs

Bought $41 in halves off the machine at my bank. I used to wait until the bag was full, but someone else keeps buying them, so now I take what I can get. Result: One car wash token, one 40%, one 66 40%. Nice grab.

Note to all the Republican Primary candidates: First one to pass the groundbreaking legislation of "All rolled half dollars must be facing the the same direction or else!" gets my vote!
