You peeps are missing the boat. Call someone and pitch a new real-itty show. They can follow you around and film you getting turned down by the banks, watch starlight carting half a ton of halves around, show wrestling get skunked again [voice-over: he's only got 4 more weeks of prime searching time until summer's over; if something doesn't show up soon, he'll have spent $1000 on gas with nothing to show for it...]

In my four boxes this week along with many boxes over the past month I have been seeing a HUGE number of absolutely brand new 1979D halves. The rims have a real orangy tone to them.....is anyone else seeing this? When I say a huge number I am talking like 2 BU rolls total in four boxes.

Unholy, Haven't seen the 1979 but I've seen similar orangy tone on the rim of some BU 1970's coins. 1996 is the BU coin I'm seeing on a regular basis. By regular, I've probably seen 6 or 8 rolls in the last 10 boxes. I kept one roll. Also, I broke my two week skunk streak with a gold plated 1964 and two 1968Ds.

I have been finding a lot of BU halves the past couple of months, I believe it is a result of the economy, people have been cashing in halves that they were saving since they are only really worth face, they need the money.

Is it bad that when I was reading this I used my announcer voice? This time it was Mike Rowe.
2 boxes coming in today, I think these are the first ones of the year for me. So many people are roll hunting around here now that almost every coin is marked, so I took a break. We'll see if things changed a bit.

This might be a little off subject, but when I was at the bank the teller mentioned a couple people come in and get boxes of halves. With that in mind, is anyone here in NW Pennsylvania? I would love to pool our cash and place larger orders with the intent of going deeper into the "vault".

Ran by the bank today and my teller told me she had a $10 CWR of halves, no silver but it sure is nice to know that they are thinking of me and saving all their halves for me.

My second box was supposed to be ordered 3 1/2 weeks ago and I'd be able to pick it up today. Imagine the anticipation of waiting that long, only to find out it was never ordered. Supposedly coming in a week from today... bummer

my 2 boxes for today were all rimmed marked highly annoying takes the fun out of looking at the dates plus a few rolls had 8 marked coins in it to add insult to the already bad situation
