Does anyone think the pics I just posted might be Garda? If they are Brinks, from what I am hearing, I might as well take them back.

This being said, I have three rolls I just have to open right now!

Thanks M0nks,

I have checked the ends of the rolls and went though a fair number. So far, things do not look as good
as the first four boxes which were all yellow-and-white.

So far, all I am seeing is a lot of 1970s and 1990s which is normal. This being said, most all look more
worn than those in the first four boxes. I guess the only way to know for sure is continue processing. You
never know what the next roll will hold.

Finally got my second box today after weeks of waiting. Can anyone tell me the carrier, it's a long box, yellow on the sides, with black and white rolls.

Today was about quality not quantity.
Two finds: 1 x %40 and a 1970 proof!

That's my second proof, but first silver proof from searching.

hey everyone, hoping for some help here. I'm going through my first of 2 boxes for the week and found a 1966 with a couple of dings on it. It shows doubling from nose down to under the chin, the eyes and the D in God is doubled on the inside. Also, there is doubling on the script under the neck(google said thats what that cursive looking letter was). New to the double die varieties, this is my first(hopefully) and unfortunately broke my camera the other day so cant post picture right now. Thank you.

Thank you, I have a co-worker bringing in a camera to work tomorrow so ill post it up here when I am done. I figured it would be hard for any opinions without a picture, but just hadn't been able to find a description of a DD to match, plus I got a little excited after going through 3/4 a box with nothing. Anyways, the rest of the box yielded 6 40%'s and a 1980 proof, so I guess it turned around there at the end.

Box #2 yielded no silver but about 100 amazing looking NIFC's. Time to fill up my album.

kenscott, I've never gotten any of those colored rolls in your picture. I'm on the east coast. I'm interested to see how they yield.

Chuckster, nice finds.

Been a while since I had good finds. last 3 boxes were silver skunks. Gotta keep trying!

Great find on the '70 Proof! Not just a '70, but a '70 proof! Awesome!

Ok, so here's the next part of my halves story. Wells Fargo now limits it's customers (at least in Wilmington branches) to two boxes per order. So today I get the call that my halves are in and they were, all two boxes! The other branch had a mixup in communication and only had one box. However, they had 8 very beautiful BU rolls of President Garfield. I bought them all. Figured it wouldn't hurt to keep them. If the value goes up enough then I can sell part of them. But as long as I have them I will always have some money for an emergency.

So, first of all, Fred, cheers. You called this one right. The banks didn't cooperate. They changed their policies instead.

On the other hand, at least I managed to get 3 boxes total today. I am thankful for that since some have been having trouble getting anything. The branch that messed up and only ordered 1 box went ahead and ordered me another 2 boxes for next Thursday afternoon.

Friday I am going back home to Garner to live now that my place is rented. It will be a bit more work up there because I have to roll everything I turn in to my dump bank. They have no coin counting machines at the BB&T branches up there.

My boxes that came are the white with yellow wrappers. The lids have holes in them. No silver yet. Still have the better part of 2 boxes to sort yet. I have found a proliferation of 1971. Have found one 2009, two 2010. Some of my 71's are probably AU or very close to it. Have a few of the 95-99's in AU/UN condition.

These are boxes 3-5 total for me when I finish sorting. I took some pics of the boxes and the coin rolls sitting in the boxes. Will post them tomorrow. They are still on my phone.

Am still thinking of trying to see how many boxes I can get of halves when I get back to Garner. It is a 2 box maximum per branch.

Went by a few banks today. One 40%. I gave up and got some nickels. At least two of those were silver!

1StarLight,

Aren't there some banks in Raleigh with coin counters for half dollars? I am in the Asheville area and think
Garner is in the Raleigh area.

Might check around before rolling all those halves. Here in the Asheville area, I only know of one bank with a
coin counting machine and it does not do halves.

Good luck on your remaining boxes.
