It's very unlikely that they have a corporate policy on coin searching, so just becuz you have no luck at one branch, doesn't mean you'd have similar luck across town. Same with carriers. |

One of them is counterstamped 1960 1985 so I guess that answered that question : )

Searched my weekly box of halves. The results were one 1967. Nothing else remotely interesting.

In 30 years, I never had a problem getting halves, dollars, or $2 if the branch could get them. Then again, I never got them just to dump them elsewhere, I used them for their intended purpose. |

So today I get the call that my halves are in and they were, all two boxes! The other branch had a mixup in communication and only had one box. Were they the ones going to get 57 boxes? It's been a few pages back for me to remember. How about the 12 boxes? |

So I got the second of my weekly 2 boxes. I did not do to bad considering the drying of the halfs. I found a 2002 (scratched up pretty bad), 2009 and a 1966. I also found a 1998D but my goodness it has the shiniest obverse, widest edge, prestine reeds and general look of a proof (exept the frosted JFK). My camera sucks for macros so everything is a little blurry. I will see if I can upload. Are we all SURE that proofs ONLY come with "S" mint mark?

Box #6 for me... no silver. Only things interesting: 98D, 03 and 09.

Four boxes this week and I walked away with 6x68 and 2x1967 sms, along with a handful 02-11 NIFCs and 2 1976 proofs.

I'm averaging 1 40% per box. I did get a little something extra out of this week's tho.   When I listen to LED ZEPPELIN...so do my neighbors...

Thanks for all the info, Bigfredd. I like it when those with lots of experience dump their knowledge through posts. My question: Are you saying that if you order say, 6 boxes in a week, that you are spending them in regular transactions? I mean, I don't dump at the same bank I order from, and I spread my buying and dumping among several banks, and several branches of the same bank, but I still get a lot of runaround from the banks. |
