I stopped at a United Bank that I previously had never been to before to look for some halves. I found three Loomis rolls, but they had been cut open on the sides. I decided to go ahead and take them anyway because, hey, you never know what is in there. And I saw various AU or BU coins staring at me. I took out six 1980D's and fourteen 1981D's in beautiful shape. I took the best pictures that I could: What do you think? Are these worth keeping, and is there a premium for them?

i don't know what people dip them in but you should be able to tell. proof-like rough finish, lack of detail, reeds are chrome. yours are not dipped, they look good to sell for at least $4 each from what I've seen on ebay.

I went to a few banks today, and one teller had dozens of clad AU/BU key dates/NIFC/proofs. Someone must have raided a collection, and sold the silver. I had to buy two Whitmans to hold them all!
78S clad proof 81P&D 82S clad proof 87P&D 95D 96P&D 99P&D 00P&D 02P&D 04P&D 05P&D x3 06P&D x2 07P&D 08D

Got 10 boxes today. The first box I went through had 8 40%, an 1964 and a 1953D Franklin! I also got my second proof, a 2000 . Here is the kicker... the other boxes are FULL of NIFC. After 2 boxes worth, I already have 5 rolls of 2002-2011. Are these worth keeping / selling on ebay? Another question: do you think that the local coin supplier (Dunbar) is filling / replacing coins pulled from circulation with NIFC, or is this a collection cashed in? Also I snagged 2 Eisenhower dollars from a teller tray :)

Bishftl, do you want full rolls of 2008 and 2010s? I dont think I have full rolls of those specific dates, but I can put together as many as I can get. PM me if your interested. I'll go do an inventory now.
Addendum: Most of these are 2003 2004 and 2005. It doesn't look like I have any 2008s or 2010s. Sorry. I have 5 more boxes to go through though, and if anyone has ideas as to what to do with these rolls let me know.

I went ahead and ordered the 2012 Cherry Pickers Guide Vol. 2 this afternoon. Barnes & Noble had it for $39.95 plus tax which totals $42.65 here in NC. Found out I could order it through Walmarts for around $28.74 including shipping to my house (quicker than to one of three close Supercenters). I have about $700 in halves and many are 1980s and BUs I have kept for further examination. I also have to check the respective 1980s for missing FG initials on the back. Lastly, I need to determine the years for coins that have an offset back versus the front. I hope to have a much better understanding of halves once I am done.
