Not bad advice. Also, if you take them all it seems to arouse less suspicion. :)
This being said, I took in my 1972-D NO FG to show my key teller and before you knew it the entire
teller community wanted to see it and know why it was rare. I try to educate as well as take. Hey, I can't
get them all. Also, I told them I would buy the ones they found if they were ever wanted to sell them.

Greetings all! I'm noo here, but have been lurking for a couple months now - you all seem very knowledgeable, friendly, and encouraging. Did a "box" (some were CWR's and some dark green bank? wrapped) so far between yesterday and today and have about 42 rolls left to go. First 2 BWR's I got because I only had a $20 on me - got 3- 2009 NIFC's, and a 1964... that's what sparked my two day "binge." (I know it doesn't seem like alot to all the "power hunter's", but most so far... ... anyways.... completed another 26 after I went back with more cash and got 24-NIFC's all 2005D, and 2009PD, 1-Walker, 1-Franklin, 2-1964, 3-40%ers, and a 1977S proof! Turned some of that in to my dumpbank and went down the street to another bank - they had $220 in CWR's - I only grabbed 4 rolls and got 2 40%ers so I dumped the rest at a different bank (where the teller wasn't so pissy) and picked up the rest... went through 16 (13 of which were a different CWR than my first 4 and skunked) and got 4 more 40%ers, and a 1964. Still have 6 more of the "good CWR's" to do and about 36 from the BWR box. I'm surprised by all the NIFC's - seems like a lot, but I was getting 2 in every other roll it seemed - the bank that I got it from orders directly from a fed branch - they had $990 face total and I took 68... will go back tomorrow once I dump tonights cull and "hopefully" get the rest since I ran outa cash lol. Does that NIFC number seem high to you folks? Or does it just happen in a blue moon? Thoughts? (here's one pic of a couple sitting on the "good CWRs" the poopy ones have the black lettering)  |

So I am looking at doing more then edge searching after seeing no "FG" selling in ebay for the value of a 90%. Could someone list the the most common errors for the half dollar and how to find them? |

did my 2 boxes this week total 1 40%.they come from loomis and the driver tells the tellers that loomis takes out the silver.i dont see how they would be allowed.maybe the next boxes will be when the person taking it out is on vacation.in 8weeks time I have found 14 90%,s and 43 40%,s so they miss a few along the way.later greg

Well....finally finished my four boxes a for the week....and besides that Walker roll end teaser I got zero silver. 3 NIFC. WOW has my source dried up. Used to be I got at least a couple 40% every time. Now other than that one Walker I am n a $16,000 skunk streak AND lean pickings beyond silver as well. Time to find a new bank I am thinking

i wonder what the average take home is for you more serious hunters...
for example, $/hr you think you make on average roll hunting various 40%, 90%...

I guess I am paying for my last monster find, because the past $1500 (3 boxes) have been skunks.
I did find one 92 proof that was so mauled, I didn't even consider keeping it.
So far I have about $200 face in silver coins. About 195 of that are halves I have from roll hunting. It's time for a safe I believe.

6 more 40%er's from those sweet CWR's saving one to open later. And out of 18 BWR's a 1971S Proof sheered by the counter.
Have 20 BWR's left. They all weigh 225.5-226. So who knows - opened a 226.1 and got nuthin. No 227's this time around.
....and it's my birthday! Woo!
