Pungod,
Here is a list of dates I have read about having the no FG error. When looking for this error, make sure to have a good magnifying glass seeing how the FG often is worn and may not be extremely visible to the naked eye. You will see the faint outline of the FG. If it is not there, BINGO and you are in luck.
In 10 boxes so far, I have only found one 1972D with the missing FG. It is now in a foldover. My personal grading would have it around the $25 range on E-Bay.
1982 - NO FG 1982 - NO F but G is Present 1972D - NO FG 1980D - NO FG 1982P - NO FG

BTW, I was surprised to see how sturdy the wrappers are from the machine rolled rolls.
On my last boxes, I simply placed my searched halves back into the original wrappers and wrote my account number on them. It was much easier than rolling them at a later time in loose paper rolls from the bank.
I guess this should have been obvious but I was excited with my first few boxes that I simply ripped those suckers open and tossed the searched ones into a large, glass container I have.
:)

Quote: i wonder what the average take home is for you more serious hunters... for example, $/hr you think you make on average roll hunting various 40%, 90%... Well, so far this year, I'm at about 23 cents an hour, not counting my gas costs.

Is there a market for the halves NIFC? Just wondering. So I guess someone bought them from the Mint at a premium and put them into circulation? Just wondering

Just wondering I asked my dealer if he was interested in any of my beautiful S-mint cameo clad proofs. He offered 45 cents each. He was dead serious. NiFc I toss back.

I've found dozens of the gold Kennedys over the years. JCWhitney must have sold a lot of those gold-annodizing kits back in the '80's. You may come across date counter-stamped halves also. They were also sold as novelty for 5 bucks or more back in the 1980's.

Went to dump some coins at 1 of my banks, there was this guy there cleaning the coin machine got to talking with him he told me there was quite a few companies rolling the coins for the bank for nothing but they get to keep all the silver they find. Now how big of an area he services and how many banks or which banks are involved he did not say. He did not seem to want to divulge that info. Also did 4 more boxes nothing nada no nifc or proofs or silver. So that's it for me for awhile. Good luck happy picking
