i don't mind the marked coins, it's the fact that I never got solid boxes of marked until this other guy started dumping at my branch, which up til now was only getting my dumps. the teller asked me if I was marking them and was actually upset that someone was doing it. She may have said something to the armored service and now they are just cycling the same boxes over and over. I tested it by edge marking a few of the marked coins to see if and when they came back. only took 8 days to get some of them again.

One more thought for the evening... I just don't trust these coin counting machines. Once the coin actually gets in there, I'm okay with it. But I'm always finding my halves getting stuck in the tray or not coming far enough out of the reject tube. I've gotten very diligent about slowly entering the coins, checking the tray, and checking the tube.

$100 in CWR
2010d x 22
2010p x 56

teller tray
1967

my teller said a lady dumps around $300 a week in halves.
i don't think I've found 78 2010's in the 300+ boxes I've searched.
9 of the 10 rolls from today had at least 8 in each roll, all BU. good thing I have use for them.

this is probably the worst quality coin in the lot.

bish, I was looking around an auction site the other day, trying to figure out how I was going to unload some of my NIFC's. I'm pretty sure I found your listings. I think I'm going to try a different approach than you since I don't have many 2010's (and to avoid competing directly with a fellow CC member). I guess I'll try selling rolls of P&D together for all the years I have (which is pretty much everything but 2010).

I know this is back to back posts but I want this to have its own post because something has happened that hasn't happened in a long time. Ready....I found silver!!

What a feeling it was to finally see the good stuff in half dollar size again. So here's my story: I leave work a little early to go pick up my usual BOA box. I'm not excited at all any more for obvious reasons. There's a bank in my work building that has never had halves. But I decide to stop AGAIN and ask. Sure enough...I get "No...Sorry". But then I saw a little hesitation. So I said, I'll gladly take something off your hands if you have it. She says they purchased a bag a long time ago for a guy that never picked them up but it will be awhile because they need to get them rolled. I said, no need...I'm just going to unroll them. So I went to the ATM to get enough for the whole bag. Get to the car, look and see something shiny, sure enough...silver. So I'm driving home, just reaching my hand in to the bag pulling out handfuls of coin and practically every other handful has silver in it. Ok Ok...I'll wrap it up. Found a 62 Proof and 45 40%ers. Yes Yes Yes Oh, and I didn't go to my other bank...I was too excited and wanted to get home.

Bishftl,

If you are consistently receiving your own searched coins, I think it would be logical to try another bank for a while and see how things pan out in a few weeks. It may be that you have a new searcher who will give up after he or she does not realize they are not going to get rich off doing this.

If the teller does not believe you, then it is not your fault. It is up to the person to believe you or not. If you have stated your case, and reminded them you have done this for some time without coins being marked, then that is really all you should logically do.

As for NIFCs, I like to keep the best conditioned coins for possible later auction on E-Bay. Also, as you all probably know, P@D combinations on some 80s and 90s dates are also worth keeping if they are AU or better.
