I guess part of my hobby is investing in silver.

I got $1.50 in loose halves from a bank I had never been to before. I had to wait about ten minutes before I could be helped, but patience paid off since one of the halves was a 1967 Kennedy!

2 boxes and no silver this week. Still need to check the 74d's so there is still hope of finding something good.

I have been searching boxes for a long time now. However, recently I cut back my boxes considerably. The amount of silver has fallen off pretty dramatically this year, and it is tiresome, time-consuming and expensive to keep dumping $3000 to $4000 in coin per week only to find a few silver coins.

This week I searched 2 boxes. Both were skunks.

jwguts,
Do not forget you also get ebay bucks back on your purchase
and you save maybe 5 to 10 dollars in gas driving to the precious metal dealer. It all adds up.

sschweder, I moved your post to the Error and Variety forum. You should see better results there.

Look at the angled leg of the "R". It seems to be broken or not attached. Would this be a error or damage after minting? This is a 1974D but I did not see any other evidence of this being a DDO coin.

found a totally worn 1967 half in a tellers tray - ill take a picture of it cause I've never seen such a worn silver half post 1940 before most likely it could have been used as a bill fold or a casino coin
