JFK Half Dollar Roll Hunters: Silver, Proofs And Other Finds

Iv been having good luck lately, ventured out to look for a few "bonus" boxes, after striking out 4 times, I went to a chase, they said they had a "brinks" box, waited 2-3 minutes, they brought it out, she opened it, set it on the counter, it was mine from 2-3 monthes ago, I took it, and dumped it a another chase down the road.....lol...

I called out to another bank, I know gets boxes every 2 weeks or so, they only had one, never had anyone swoop in on those 2 boxes before, they dont order them for me, I just know they get them, and grab them when I'm in the area. I drove the 15 minutes out, and grabbed it. Snagged 10 40%.

Thats it for now, gotta dump 4 boxes tommorrow, and pick up my usual 4 friday.

I will try to get a direct scan and upload it for maximum detail. I am waiting on a Canon 450D 12.2 mp I recently
purchased out of California. Hopefully, I will be able to get more detailed pictures with it.

Picked up a half box of BWR's today. Only had $250 on me. Was going to grab the rest after I went through those, but the funds had to go elsewhere. So I went through them all - skunked (still have to look at the 74D's and there were two 80 somethings that I couldn't see an FG)

anyways... I went to the bank where my Mom works (same bank, but different branch - she worked there for 8 years though) to dump because they will waive the machine sorter fee because they know who I am. When I started up the machine there was no one in line. When it was done there were like 7 people and 2 tellers. I waited for a couple minutes in line and noticed the drive-through was empty so I took my slip and hustled out to my car thinking I was gonna be a slicky boy.

I put the signed slip and my ID in the bottle with the NON Fee amount circled. I was happy because the teller in the drive-through has known my mom for 30 years. Anyways... I guess she got a lecture about me having to turn the slip into the lobby tellers, AND she charged me the Fee!

I was LIVED, but considering the circumstances, and the fact that I dump quick and free (usually) I didn't say anything, but GRRRRRRR - I feel like I gave them a $10 tip for bad service (the bank also messed up my online account with their system conversion and customer service was busy every time I called, or hung up on me when the automated message would transfer me).

Thanks for letting me vent... I'm done.... and before anyone goes there - yes, I know, its a privilege, not a right, that I have. I guess next time I will just have to rot in line with everyone else.

... now I need to scrounge up another $250 to grab the rest of the rolls from the bank across the street from this one... LOL...

Think of the silver halves as bullion, except instead of trusting a private assayer, the federal government has validated the silver content. No need to melt it down. Copper is an industrial metal, it has no real intrinsic value. Copper would need to be melted to unlock any value.

BTW, should have two boxes coming in later this morning. (Yep, 1:40 a.m. does qualify as today :) ).

Went through two boxes last night and got one 1969. May cut back to one box for a while things have been slow.

Going to pick up my two boxes this afternoon. Hopefully, I will find my first Monster box. :)

Re: The Pawn Stars thing... that sounds like he robbed the guy. I haven't seen it though. Did he recently pay the guy $4/oz? Or was it years ago?
