Upon returning from Florida through L.A. (lower Alabama) I stopped at an out the way bank in a small town. They had a full Brink's box and $490 in loose rolls. Nothing in the loose rolls. The box yielded 3 40%, 1 82-S, 7 NIFC and 3 '74D-DDO. I was particularly surprised at the 74's. I haven't been doing halves lately, except on trips. I also picked up a 'Trunk Full' of Cents. It will be a while going through them.

mfhorn, have you found that the 74D DDO's seem to show up in multiples? It seems more seldom that I find 1 in a box than 2, 3, or 4. To re-word that, its usually none or 2 to 4.

I'm working on a 6 box silver skunk right now...I'm having flashbacks of a really long drought. I get one box tonight and 2 on Thursday. Fingers crossed for some silver.

grabbed 60$ in loose cwr wraps and my usual 2 tuesday boxes today, not to bad

60 cwr.....skunked
box 1.......1 nifc
box 2.......(10)...40%

one of the silvers came early in the box, the other 9 hit on the last 15 rolls, one was a double, hopefully this will get better next week.

Good luck to everyone this week, iv got 4 more boxes coming friday.
Owassokie, keep at it man you had a good streak going , hopefully you will break back into it.

What years? Wheats? Coppers? IHC's? LARGE CENTS!?!? (which would be awesome!)

When you plunge into those - toss up the results here: https://goccf.com/t/38685

Yes....quite a few times I've found 2 in the same box. Once, 2 in the same roll, but no more than 3.

I just started going through them. Large Cent...would it fit in a penny wrapper?
A 'trunk full' is not quite accurate. Probably no more than $200.
Last year I started out with a IHC, but that was the best find. I tend to think these small rural towns, people don't know what they have and turn it in. But folks are more savy to coins and know what they have than we think.

Owassokie -

I feel your pain -I pulled 1 40% out of the last 18 boxes. If nothing pops up in the next two weeks gonna cut back to 2 boxes a week again.

Not true Robbudo... I have averaged 1 silver dime for 3 boxes in the last $5,000.

As a rule, I tend to place my silvers aside and check them for errors later.

Well, tonight I was going through my Cherry Pickers Guide and was up to the 1966 date. Bingo, one I have is a STRONG double die on the obverse. The doubling around the Kennedy profile, and the eyes, is absolutely unmistakable.

This is my first double die. I am happy to say the least. I will try to get a picture up later.

Jwguts,

Nice find on the 64. I have only found two in all the boxes I have searched, so finding one in a tellers tray is really nice.
