So I am selling my stash, my hoard, the
fruit of my labor! I am selling 117 40
percent'ers, a roll of 90 percent'ers, half
roll of Peace dollars, roll of dimes, JFK/RFK
commerative, half roll of clad Proofs and 2
slabbed silverDCAM's. The above represents
my first year of searching (and a little investing).
In case you are wondering why, I decided to put
the money in a state-sponsered college fund for
my 2 year old.

picked up a box today it had over 400 BU nifc's I put a few under 10X magnification and none had any marks at all - I'm guessing someone bought mint bags once and just needed the money and dumped them all ( I gave them all back maybe someone else will enjoy them )

Sounds good Pungod. You selling them locally or here on the forum? What do you have in the roll of 90%ers? Let me know!

I went by my usual 6 or 8 banks the other day, and got nothing. Today, my wife wanted to go to the mall (in the 100+ degree heat!), and I saw a bank nearby. I've always had good luck there; I don't think the tellers pick out silver.

She was a bit irritated, but I left the car running and hurried in. Fortunately, one teller had $7 in loose halves. I scored a '66 and a '64! Needless to say, my wife wasn't irritated anymore.

Pungod - you should look into a federal education savings fund - some companies that offer retirement accounts also offer what are called CESA's - you can actually INVEST the money in SILVER with the account! :-) PM me if you want more info - it's what I used to do for a living....

Lonz:
I actually am putting it in a 529 where we get a tax break and tax
free spending on college in 16-20 years from now.

Community:
So forgive my ignorance but is it playing by the rules on this thread
to sell coins to members without the proper level of membership?
If so then of course I would entertain offers here for my silver and other
coins.

Make sure to check your 1966 coins for doubling on the Kennedy profile.

kenscott, you have the cherrypicker's guide? I have almost a roll of 1966/67 with profile doubling but I thought the DDO was on the text/date for a real doubler. just wondering. these must be MD.

Got my 2 boxes last week from my normal bank. I was skunked for silver. Think I may have found an beat up NIFC but nothing really worth keeping. On Friday I stopped by the bank in my work building that buys bags of Loomis for me. This is the one without an account. I always have to wait for the right time so that one particular teller is there. After letting two people go ahead of me, She finally finished with her customer. Asked to order a bag for next week. She had a bag waiting on me :) I'm glad she did. 24 40%ers, 8 clad Proofs, 2 NIFC, and a 1915 British One Penny. I was pretty stoked to find the large one penny even though it doesn't appear to be worth much. It was a first for me.

Congrats to all on the great hunts. Good luck in July!

Nobis1,

I totally understand the frustration. It was a good while until I hit boxes from the same
bank with a different design on the outside. This past week had the skunk version and the new version
and hit some decent silver on the new version including a 1964 showing on the end.

I hope things turn positive for you soon.
