I'm hoping they are. I have 1 and halfhunter has 2.
i have seen MS64-65 sell for over $300. very hard to tell how they will grade as an older coin. I am going to send in mine, it will sell easier in slab. and I think this is MS quality but I am in no way sure about that. mine possibly has a reverse die clash as well. hard to see it but there's something there

as far as clips go, it needs to be BU and might be worth it depending on the year.

13 boxes of halves today... 1 '48 XF franklin, 3 '64, one of which is a double-heads coin (cool!), a 1993 Madison commem, 90% silver, 10 40%, and a 2007-S.

Rough day, expecting much better tomorrow.

Another $40 in customer rolled halves from a different bank produced nothing. Similar
wrappers to the local banks I am pretty sure has someone dumping at them.

Starting to think a box searcher has multiple accounts at most local banks and is dropping
dumps over multiple locations. Bad for the average walk in like me but not a bad idea if
you think about it. May play that game myself here shortly.

Opened an account with PNC. Having problems activating the debit card so I will have to go by one branch tomorrow. Might as well test the waters on them ordering me halves.

BTW, the head teller at the bank the once ordered halves for me told me they all pretty much
know to keep silver. She said she was busy and handed a customer some the other day when she
heard them hit the counter. She grabbed one back and said he could not have it but he could
buy it from her. Thus, I never ask at that bank.

most banks policy is if it's in the teller tray the teller a customer can buy it, no matter what it is. Many are also required to tell any customer that is depositing loose coin if they are depositing any silver.

Bish is right, every time a teller has tried to tell me I couldn't buy the silver in their tray, I've kindly asked them to do their job and hand me what I asked for, all of it, while I have a wad of cash in my hand... if they still refuse, I ask to talk to a manager, and I always get it... even if it takes some gentle prodding and dropping the fact that I'm not afraid to call corporate.

I got 6 or 7 rolls from a bank about 6 monthes ago. The teller opened them all right in front of me and "verified" them, no silver, but I knew what she was doing.

I said you checking those right in front of me huh, she said oh no just veryifying. I still took them. Been there a few more times for cwr quarters and dimes, hadnt seen her asked for halves, they said oh the one lady that works here buys them all. Also she buys all eisenhowers and susan b's

Went back 2 days later with 460$ in loose eisenhowers with no wraps in a canvas bag. The guy got excited and kind of yelled "oh Cindy" she came out, walked over her eyes lite up in shock at all the eisenhowers, looked at me and she said "oh its you." I looked at her and I said back to her "OH its you" She said did you search these, I said no but I did verify them.....lol..HAHA

I have never coerced a coin out of a teller... seems mean. I tried to buy a Proof BU quarter from the 70s that a teller found, but then she explained she was keeping it and going to give it to her daughter.

Small perk in a dead end job when you think about it.

HA. Just the other day I thought I was being slick and spotted a silver rim in a teller tray. I asked to see her whole tray. She put it up on the counter and I asked if I could have that particular quarter. She said "Oh is it silver". I said "Looks to be". She pulls it out and it's a Canadian quarter. darn! Oh well, I still took it. She said it was good I saw the silver rim before her, she typically keeps it all.

Like Broseph said, it is a "small perk in a dead end job".

Ain't my fault they didn't work harder to get somewhere in life, so I am not going to feel sorry for them or pay one red cent for their crap decisionmaking skills.

You got silver? Great for you, pull it out of your tray ASAP and if I see it before you do buy it, it is mine. Cheap lesson. :)
