BISH, What is your camera set up for taking pictures. I'm not in to the whole photography thing much, but was wondering if there is some key or lighting trick to make the pictures show detail like yours.

i am horrible at photo setup, just get lucky with the lighting and time of day sometimes. I have a dual overhead halogen light bar above my couch. I use a standard sony cybershot 12 megapixel and most of the time use the easy setting without flash. I have to experiment with lighting during day and night, can never get the same look twice.

I use an iPhone for my pics. It's 5 megapixels and takes pretty good pics.

Decided to drop in a small bank I was passing today. One roll of halves.
Can you spot them?

SDcoinguy - to answer your question, I guess it would depend on the teller. I just kept what I wanted out of sight of a customer so there would be no issues. I always thought it would be rude to have something collectible in plain sight, have a customer see it and request it and then tell them 'no you can't have this because I'm taking it.' That probably wouldn't go over too well. It was always easier to keep the coins I wanted out of sight, but I usually bought what I wanted the same day I received it. I would have customers ask for rolls of various coins and give them to them, but also tell them what was searched if it had been. Some could be lying, most are probably not.

I finished off 3 boxes of halves tonight. Same source as the 3 box Thursday from last week. Same silver results too. I swear I'm the most unlucky guy. Every time I bump up the number of boxes, my finds go down. As soon as I back off, boom, I find silver.

I did find 5 1974D DDO halves. I find tons of these. I need to find someone that will take a bunch off my hands. Does anyone know of a coin shop that would buy in bulk? I may try selling 10 at a time on ebay or something. Really not worth it to me to sell them 1 at a time. By the time I round up packaging, go to post office,& pay fees and postage, you're not really making anything.

4 boxes
1-64
3-67
2-68
and 2-1978 that look gold tone, tried to take a picture but didn't show very well, really cool, not plated.

got into a box that was roll after roll of marked coins and in the middle was the 64 with a mark on his face, looking forward to pulling more marked silver

with roll after roll of marked coin and still finding some silver(one marked), really shows to find silver in a fished out area is all about volume, the more hooks you cast the better your chances of finding something good.
