$200.00 in cwr tonight and I got a 1966 most of the rolls wereclearly someone elses dumps. The teller had 21 rolls but would no sell me the last roll I did not say anything becuase I did not have an account there

the last roll was all silver that some 90 year lady  cashed in for $10... that's why they kept it to take home for profit$$$.  anyone ever read all 934 pages in this topic  Edited by Penny4Me

My best day ever for halves and it's the worst too.
found a chrome plated 82 counter stamped 1960 - 1980
Pulled 13 40's and 1 90 out of 2k in halves
so why the worst? usually I am lucky if I pull one or two out of 4 boxes, these all had silver and my second bank from the same carrier service didn't get ordered :(. I guess they only have so much room, or only a certain number of boxes they can order. but should do 16 boxes next week. I have been trying to just hit them for 2k every pickup so as not to get cut off anywhere, but need to bump this up some more.

Is that a rolling mark on the obverse,
was it on the end of the roll? that would decrease the value.
Other than that it is a real nice looking coin.
Also it does not look like a proof it looks like a silver clad which is worth more.

Ha, slow week... brutal week.
1 Franklin, 1 '97-S 90% proof, 9 40%ers... out of 32 boxes. Ouch.
I actually found more proofs, at 13, than silvers this week. Ridiculous.

How can you tell if it is silver clad? Just the luster?

The rim. That half looks CuNi to me, note the reverse, the bottom of the pic shows the rim, looks quite coppery.

The 1976-S silver clads weigh 11.50 grams while the standard 1976-S coin weighs 11.34 grams. Also, the side of the coin should reflect the silver content
BTW, do you see any doubling in "WE TRUST" on the obverse? If not, is there doubling on the reverse on "E PLURIBUS UNUM"?

Could I do the drop test to see if my 1976 is silver or not compare the sound from the 76 to a 88?

You could do that, but it's easier to just look at the rim. If the rim is all silver colored, the coin is silver. If it is brownish and silver, then it's not silver.
