Lamination Error Or PMD? - Coin Community Forum

Metzger22 Valued Member United States 127 Posts	Posted 04/16/2015 5:26 pm Well, while roll searching I came across a 1946 with what I believe is lam error. I also found a War Nickel with lamination error as well. I've heard that it was common for War Nickels to have this error due to poor mixing of alloys. So what do you guys think? SilverStackerKid Pillar of the Community United States 6478 Posts	Posted 04/16/2015 6:39 pm Yes, 2, maybe more, types of lamination errors. pre strike and post strike. Pre strike is when the metal peels and either folds or falls off before the design is punched in, post is after the strike, the coin starts peeling. Nice post lam you have here.
