How about a 29 high 9. A lot cheaper than a 36 dot.

"Library of Coins"......that's the same type of album my 50c were in but unfortunately it had seen better days.
Very nice collection you have there! I've noticed the brown tones of older small cents can be interesting -- some look woodlike, some leathered and others streaked as if an artist has painted autumn colours on them.

Great pick up on the small cents GR58.. Doing real great on your Canadian collection. Yes.. I would also say, put a 1929 high9 in that spot. Why would they even have a hole for a 1936 DOT cent..

For the 1936 Dot hole. I am thinking of putting a King George VI, with the obverse forward. Then try to match a label to the color of the page.
Funny .. I was just looking at World coin guide, it list mintage for a 36 dot at 678,823 ....

Congrats, that is a very nice collection.
I saw that same album many years ago. Good to see it again.
What is happening with the (shiny) 1882 large cent?

GR58: Congrats on filling so many holes and picking up some nice keys!
I like the idea of putting the 1929 high 9 in the `36 dot hole....
What a friend of mine did in a way of a bit of a prank or joke is took a mid grade `36 and a small leather hole punch and made a `36 dot (just incused instead) but he states he has that hole filled.
Anyways.... awesome aquisitions keep posting pics of the `nuck coins you pick up!

Remember, in Canada they are called "pennies". You have most of'em and are doing well but there is a LOT more variety's for 1859 then just 4 isn't there! If I was in the same situation as you with that 36 dot hole I would get a hold of a fake 1936 dot penny, of coarse with "copy" counterstamped on it and stick it in it.
