Is this one genuine? Would be fun if so, I don't think I've ever seen a genuine Chinese silver coin.

I am in no way qualified to answer your question, but I look forward to learning something about this coin. If someone forced me to make a guess, I would be concerned about the grainy surface. Next, I might base my decision on the information I could get about the seller. I can't wait for the experts to arrive. Thanks for sharing.

Forgot to mention: It rings like silver, the actual colour is much more silver-like and the light is blast-white. It is not magnetic and weights 3 grams according to my household scale that measures whole grams.

Also, the seller was an unknowing (and uncaring) flea market seller. He had several other coins on display that were old, but none looked fake. Some were more common, but he sold mostly old European coppers.

It looks genuine to me. Definitely worth more than 60 cents - perhaps more in the range of 20 dollars.

Its weight should be around 2.6 - 2.7 grams.

The coin looks genuine to me but it is definitely much cheaper than expected by your price US$0.60. US$6-10 is more likely.

This is a low-priced coin so it does not attract the forgers to make fake of this coin.

I dunno - every time I see a coin like this it's always fake, so I doubt it's genuine in the first place.

Nice to hear it's worth more. I picked it up thinking "Hey, why not?". This is why I go to flea markets

On an unrelated note, what would you think this would grade?
The only problem is that there are some hair fragments scattered around, but that's it.
