Lamination or die chip? Hard to tell. Because it is a VLDS I am leaning towards die chip.

I was leaning towards lamination but I could see it being a die chip also.

I don't know but to me it looks more like a flake than a chip.

It is a famous die chip. Some thought it looked like a SJ and called them San Jose cents. But they are just from a worn die from San Francisco.
