I was basing my statement of "many" on the numerous complaints I've seen on here from buyers who had a good deal cancelled out from under them, and the suspicion was because the auction went for too low an amount. Sometimes the seller says it was sold elsewhere, or they lost it; it was put up by accident, or what-have-you. Sometimes it's even automagically "found" a few weeks later because it's back up for auction from the same seller.
In the event the coin is "found" & listed again by the seller it's pretty obvious what happened. The rest of the time it's pure speculation on the part of the buyer with absolutely no factual evidence. It's certainly within a buyers right to make a judgement call based on suspicion. I'm just not comfortable doing so myself.
I believe the seller is obligated to sell even if the price doesn't meet their expectations but I still find it ironic that some of these "good deals" would be called out as a rip off if the seller was a little old lady & the buyer was a LCS.
