1966 Lincoln Cent

I found this one a couple weeks ago and this is the strangest one I've found yet. If you look at the pictures you'll see that the L in liberty is almost completely merged with the rim and the rest of the penny looks like it is completely off center and looking at the side one side is thinner than the other leading me to believe the die came in at a angle making one side thicker than the other.

Looks like a small MAD or misaligned die. The top die was slightly of and you are missing some rim. Hence why the coin looks like that on the side.

And the L is normal for that year.

so that one is definitely a error coin. Is it common to the 1966 memorials or is it uncommon?

No just a normal coin. The edges look like that. Put a roll of cents in a clear tube. You can really see the edges then.
