Its definitely silver...I tested it and bought from a big online reputable dealer. I think the lighting give it such a look. It has great toning.

All you have to do is take those links and surround them with IMG tags. In the Reply to Topic (or Start Thread) box, the image icon above the box will put those tags in for you. When you mouseover that icon, it will identify itself on your screen.

I believe the lighting may have made the strike seem like high relief.
I agree. Someone else has posted photos like this before. In time I may be able to find them.

I think you got a good deal.

I think you got those at a really good price.

At a local coin shop, to me, they sell 90% silver (bucket silver)
between $13 and $14 per dollar.

They really don't put cull coins in those buckets. Although there will
be some very worn early mercury and Barber dimes.

If they are holed, bent or scratched they get sent off to be melted.

In the Morgan and Peace buckets, the lower buckets will have VG to VF
coins. Sometimes they will put out a cull dollar bucket. Again these
will have holed, bent, stained and polished coins. Those trade a couple
dollars below the VG bucket. Or if they sit to long, they get taken in and
melted.

To me there is a difference between junk silver buckets and cull coins.

These are fairly common. I bought 1 at melt price a few years back and have had other opportunities slightly above melt since then.

As others have posted, the pictures are taken in a way,
that makes it hard to tell the condition of the coin.

If I had to guess ... I would say that it looks like it has the details
to be AU.

What is cull price, SsDd?

It seems as if the cull price of any size of silver; any denomination could differ on each individual coin in itself.

Basically what I'm saying is, often times cull coins have holes in them, meaning the silver content would be decreased.

So wouldn't the cull price depend on the content of each individual coin?

Cull price for silver coins can be calculated as times face value that fluctuates with spot l. Like GR58 said he pays $13-14 for $1 face value... which is 13x-14x face value. A dealer would buy at 9-10x face value. With spot where it is right now.

As for holes, we're only talking about silver here so unless you have 100+ holed coins it dosent really matter. Even then.you.could just calculate by bulk weight.
