You can call your local coin dealer and find out if they are certified pcgs graders, if they are, you just take your coin to them and they walk you through what to do, they ship it out to pcgs to get graded for you for some fees. At least thats what I know.

#1. PCGS will NOT grade this as a recognized doubled die. They have a certain list of dies they recognize, and this is not one of them. PCGS is about the most worthless service when it comes to die varieties.
#2. It would be a good idea to know this before suggesting to someone that they spend over $40 to find out what I stated in #1. They would be wasting their $40 and likely be mad at you...with good reason.
#3. NGC isn't much better than PCGS about recognizing die varieties - their list is longer than PCGS, but not by much.

Longmeadow....check out ICG's website under fees and services. They grade just about every variety there is. I have had a lot of coins graded by them with good results but please keep this in mind,,,,,their coins don't bring the high premiums that NGC & PCGS graded coins do. Another option would be to call NGC and speak with one of their graders. You have a very unique, rare coin that deserves a lot of attention. I'm surprised that you haven't been contacted by Coin World.

ICG would probably be the smartest bet at this point to get it graded and in a holder.
I wish I were in the position to accept it for photography before it went into a holder, but that day is nearly a month out.

ANACS might be another grading service to send it to, they grade just about anything. I do not know if the recent events have any impact though.

In response to the comment about my wishing I had sold mine...NOT! having 2 out there (or 20) doesn't make it any easier for 99.99999% of the collectors out there to get a hold of. If ther were a hundred found mine still has the distinction of being the discovery coin.
Congratulations on this great find! everyone else...get to work!
