Sure looks like an S/S to me but thought I would ask you people. coppercoins Pillar of the Community United States 7629 Posts	Posted 01/15/2008 07:48 am It's 1938S-1MM-001. Pretty common in later die state, this one is LMDS. In BU grades is worth $15-$25, and in earlier die state is worth more. I bought an original BU roll once and found 15 of these in the roll. There are three known RPMs for 1938S Lincoln cents - none of them are especially difficult to find. #2 is the most common, #1 is second, and #3 is somewhat tough, but is very minor. I was fairly certain that it was the 001 but wouldn't dare state that as certainty. I am grateful that we have forums like this with people like Chuck willing to input their knowledge gratis Thanks! I have gone threw maybe 2000 wheats the last few nights I bought and this popped up. Might not be worth a lot, but it goes into my books as a good one. Report this Post to the Staff
