A very nice dollar with great luster. Unfortunately a couple of heavy hits on obverse will hurt the grade. MS60-62 I have found 1964 MS silver dollars are under rated and hard to find in higher MS grades like 64 or 65.
Sold to me as UNC+, which was described as MS-62. I agree that the dings make it a MS-60. Thanks for the help. Jimmyd, yes I see more PL '64 dollars in higher numbers than business strikes.
MS-60, I wouldn't go by colonial acres grading...a person sold some of their coins to my LCS, we compared his grade and my grade with the colonial acres grade and theirs were at least a point higher for everyone.
MS 60 which makes it really only a bullion piece.1964 even though a huge original Mintage is a very tough coin in grades above MS63. Date is notorious for heavy gouges and bag marks. A coin in ICCS MS 65 is indeed a prize ,with 64 s almost as tough.
