I think these will sell out fast. I'm already receiving emails from coin buyers who want me to purchase 5 sets for them and they will send me 50 bucks. Not going to happen. I will get mine and hold on to them.

I'm with you on holding onto these. If I buy something not for my collection, I flip it the day it's received. Sometimes I will do pre-sales. Not with these.

These dimes will only be available in a set? I see the dollar coin is available individualy, a proof W and an unc. P. I'm only interested in the dimes.

If you want the dimes the only direct purchase option is the set.
You will be able to purchase just the dimes in the aftermarket but most likely they will be graded specimens at a premium

I honestly couldn't care about the Dimes; I want the Dollar and the set is a nice package for it.

Well, I honestly couldn't care about the commemorative dollar, but I have to admit the thought of owning a reverse proof silver dime is enticing. I don't think I need five of them, but I'll probably try to pick up at least one set.
With only 75,000 available, I wonder if there will be any trouble ordering them? I realize these won't be as popular as the 2011 Silver American Eagle 25th Anniversary Set, but there were 100,000 of those available...

I bought the uncirculated dollar since it doesn't come with the set, and will most likely have a lower mintage than the proof. I really don't like the appearance of the dollar, but I wanted to own a commemorative silver dollar and wanted to see what all the fuss is about. I'mgonna buy some of the sets when they drop on may 4th, given that I remember to check my computer at the right time and aren't instantly snaked by the thousands of people probably jumping on it the second it releases. NGC released some info about submitting these for a special label and pedigree: http://www.ngccoin.com/news/viewart...of-Dimes-SetI'm so torn on grading modern stuff, I wouldnt mind having the limited dimes in an ms70 slab, but the whole fake economy constructed around labels, and first day/first release stuff just doesn't seem like it has any substance to it. I mean, its generally understood that the early release designation does nothing to track when dies are changed over, and with 75,000 dimes made, how many of them will honestly be a weak strike due to Die Deterioration? My only impulse to buy a slab, not the coin would be purely driven off other people's frenzy to own something like that and the perceived increased value, but deep down I know there's no difference. I guess its just a typical situation of wanting to jump on the bandwagon/not being left out for me. I can't rationalize paying to get any of my stuff graded, if I want a graded coin i'll buy it graded so if I'm lucky to get a set it'll probably sit in the OGP forever like all my ASE stuff

Going to be buying, but it wouldn't surprise me the mint adds the dimes to some other set.

Absolutely...the PF has sold 42k to the UNC's 19k ...and add 75k to the proof.... but...the dollars will be on sale through December because of the 500,000 limit (combined)..no way that is going to be hit The dollars are not the reason to buy this set...

Quote: since the list price includes a $10 "donation" to the March of Dimes Since it's a "donation" and the March of Dimes is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization, my thought is that the $10 is tax deductible if you itemize (assuming one makes enough for it to matter or doesn't make too much so that the deductions are limited). I'm buying five sets, so that will be a $50 donation to the March of Dimes.
