I was looking at a couple of 21 Morgans I bought this week. Looking at the bow above where the mint marks are, I noticed something that looks like a "5" or an "s". It's on both of them. One is from Phil. and the other San Fran.I've never noticed this before. Is this common?

I thought it was an "S"? I see now it is an "M" turned sideways. Thanks for the lesson Cascade.

It's actually a "M" tilted 90 degrees counter-clockwise.
