I really hate to see a coin destroyed by counter stamps.

Counterstamps have always fascinated me, but it's so frustrating when (as with the majority) you can't attribute them at all.

Anyone who works in "tool and dies" or any heavy industry can do that all day and night if they want to..

Just ruins a nice collectable coin.... IMHO..

DEVLEC,
You always have to look at it from the positive. If this coin had not been counter marked, it probably would have hit the melting pot long before now as did 95% of its cousins. Some coins only exist today because they were kept as a curiosity. Some coins are only known in an altered state.
