Pricing! Yes! My Eisenhower dollar C&C will be reality! I will probably get the Kennedy as well. Not sure on the other two, will have to see how they look.

Dar, the article did mention the Franklin and Theodore Roosevelt sets, but it was to compare pricing of those previously-released sets to the above-mentioned 4 sets.

That's going to be an interesting day given the stated mintage.

At least it is not on a Monday this time. Hopefully being on a Tuesday will help, being new release day. Maybe people will be distracted and forget the mint offering that day.

I'm basing my thoughts here on the front page article in the June 16th Numismatic News regarding the Truman Coin and Chronicles Set that they are set to take orders on June 30th. It's to be a reverse proof issue, with a total mintage of 17,000, and a limit of 5 sets per household. Cost of the sets are $57.95 each. The article points out that the 2014 American $1 Coin and Currency with an "enhanced uncirculated finish" quickly sold out a 50,000 mintage, though at a price of only $13.95 each. Eisenhower, Kennedy, and Johnson releases are also due out this year with 17,000 coin mintages, excepting the Kennedy coin which is slated to have a mintage of 25,000. No mention as to whether these coins would feature a reverse proof coin. Given the above I see the following: The Truman coin will be sold out the first day. Some people will get shutout and scream that there shouldn't have been a 5 coin limit per household, but rather it should have only been 1. Price of the coin will more than double immediately. Some dealers will be selling large quantities of the coins the same day (if not before). Shopping channels will feature them on their shows at triple the price with some fancy label that will be must have on PCGS and NGC graded slabs. A few days later mint officials will apologize and say they are looking into how the sale was handled and promise to do better in the future.
