Well, being the 1st of the month, I usually venture out to do my monthly banking & always ask if they have any older bill, silver dollars or 50 cent pieces.....

Well today was a bit different as I ended up getting:

1 - 1970 MANITOBA DOLLAR
1 - 1980 ONTARIO NORTH NOW(says $1 valid 1980)
1 - 1976 MONTREAL OLYMPIC $5
1 - 1976 MONTREAL OLYMPIC $10
1 - 2014 POLAR BEAR $50
1 - 2014 SNOWY OWL $50

I'm pretty sure that "Ontario North" coin isn't legal tender, but will take the loss & add the coin to my collection.

Better photos to come once my camera battery is fully charged.

Once again, it's so worth asking @ your local bank!!

It's interesting that a bank took a Trade dollar. Nice score.

Edit: the Trade dollar looks nickel, but you may want to weigh it to make sure it's not the silver version. Nickel 14g; silver 17g.

Someone at my local credit union cashed in 4 of the 25 for 25 flag coins. They were not in the capsules and the teller at first thought they were quarters. She told me an older man had brought them in. I did not want them so they are still there
Rest in Peace

I have been offered many of the xx for xx coins, from a few of my banks, so they are out there. I just don't see any reason to buy them.

I took a few pics of my recent "bank score" and am playing around a bit with them but am only using the "paint" program until I find the disc with my "paintshop pro" on it...

O the woe's of a new pc

It's like the $50 coins were never taken out of the plastic sheath that holds the coin & coin capsule.

please bare with the tilted pics for now
