Now a 2nd one. This coin is in better shape. Tail on both sides of upper O and maybe doubling on N.

It's normal - you'll see that a lot on mid-80s Lincolns.

Beat me to the punch. When I found a 3rd, the light came on. 2 maybe, 3 no way.

In this case it's normal but don't go by the "If I find 2 OK, but 3 it can't be theory" :-) I once found 110 of the same doubled die in a bag of Lincolns....I don't want to give away what date it was on....

The best method to determine if a coin is a Doubled Die or not is to immerse yourself in Chuck's website and look at what the doubled dies really look like.

Of course you can get an idea by looking at my site also under the variety heading.
