Yes the king of the PL Sets. If I would of owned this coin in a set it would have never got cut. Original can be worth more money than being cut and some won't acknowledge it came from a set anymore, prove it existed.

Don't know if the former owner has an account on here or not..
This coin was found my a member of my local coin club while searching quarter rolls from the bank.
It looked shiny (due to PL strike) so he had a closer look at it.
So for all you roll searchers, you never know when you will find a 15k quarter ;)

I didn't find a 15k quarter, but I did find a 1999P test coin quarter. It was in a roll of quarters headed for the Laundromat :) So cspence, you are right in saying you never know what you will find doing the CRH thing.
Regarding the 1967-1992 Mule quarter, it is listed in the 2009 Charltons Standard Catalogue, 63rd Edition, on page 204. It states that "It was reportedly found in a 1993 Brilliant Uncirculated" set", and there is "Only one known", graded at MS65. Cool mule.... keep your eyes open. Ya never know....

Hmmm? What are the odds of finding a "MS66 MULE" while CRH?

Thanks Nickelodeon. I just received the #63 Charlton 2009 and see only one known and MS-65. So the 2015 sale was a MS-66 and the 2017 sale was a PCGS PL68. (Does that mean there are 3?). They will be in Coins of Canada 2018 and Charlton 2019 (2018 already in print). PS: if it was in 2009 Charlton why take it out? Is the 2015 Buyer on this site? I'm the 2017 Buyer.

My understanding from the underbidder of the first coin was at the time only one known sold for an insane price to a famous Calgary collector, now a second coin came to market which is the one you purchased for less than half price of the first. The auctioneer handle both coins, maybe there is more, a 20 grand Canadian error is really rare, Canadian Coin recently sold a lovely double struck NCLT 1 oz. gold coin for under 20 grand in PCGS slab. It's a cool mule, if you like it, that is what's important, looks nice in hand before the auction, but in my humble opinion not 20 grand cool, but enjoy

IF this is a PL coin, then it should not be in the Volume One (Circulation Strikes) Charlton catalogue... it belongs in the Volume Two ( RCM Mint Products) catalogue...

Hello SPP-Ottawa, this post is from 2015 referring to the ICCS MS66 coin. It is listed in the 2009 Charlton 2009 63rd edition as MS65 and only one known. My coin is the PCGS PL68. They will appear in the 2019 Charlton catalogoue(s). Which I have no idea?

Thank you John100. I will enjoy my 20k mule. In 2006 a 1993 US penny mule sold for 138,000 US. I think I got a great deal! Of course, 20k does buy a lot of mules :)
