More than one guilty party here. The Pawn shops should be held to account for another crime!

Quote: Ms. Orr said she had been stealing mail for approximately one year. Not sure I believe that.

The article also stated: "...she was ordered to make restitution of $11,481.25".
Also assume loss of job and pension as well as the felony conviction and restitution? That's deserved punishment.

The scary thing is nowhere does it say she is an "ex-postal employee".

This is all it says: Quote: She will be on supervised probation for three years. Not sure if that means at work or just general probation with a PO.

If she had stolen that much from a bank she would be in prison.
No matter what the reason, she made a choice to steal.
She should have gotten prison time, then probation.
My wife works for the Florida Department of correction. I hear about how criminals get, just probation and it not working nearly everyday.
They hold all the files after someone gets off probation, because over 90% of them get back on probation in less than five years. I am talking felony probation.
That lady stole registered mail. The most tracked packages in the postal system. Very stupid person, she should not have been a postal employee in the first place.

Quote: That lady stole registered mail. The most tracked packages in the postal system. That's probably what got her caught. She said she had been stealing mail for a year, but then she stole that registered mail and wham they closed her down.

So, more likely than not, she is still working for the postal service in some capacity while completing her probation.
If she clears probation and makes restitution she can probably petition the court to remove her conviction and seal her records.
Nothing would surprise me.
