I think he is referring to part of the window by the water pump, it looks like something is missing. Not sure about this one IMHO

It came from a US Mint roll, but I guess it could have been damaged by other coins while at the mint. Here are more photos, sorry all I have is that little lens you put on I phones. Jean

With 40x magnafier it looks to me like somehow the window frame got a big block shape placed on top of wood frame itself, at first I thought it was doubleing of the logs meeting the window frame on the right side of the window. It could be some ding from other coins going into the roll. Just wondered if anyone else has seen this.

I still believe that it is a bagmark. DONT stop searching though, so far all the DDR for this year have been found in the same area of the desigh and all by CCF members....it is very possible you could be the next to carry the torch. keep huntin!

It may have been hit with a reed on the edge of another coin. I would save it for now till we know more about it.

If what you're seeing goes into the coin, (incuse) it is PMD. If it is raised, we need better pictures.

This is an answer to coin masters, it is raised as you can see by first photo above if you look at the lower window frame on the right it is raised from the middle of the lower frame all the way to the edge of window frame on the right. You can also see it raised above the lower right frame by looking at the pointed shape going north on wood frame to the right of the actual window. So with this in mind, I thank you COOP for stating, "to hold it till we get more information"

Coop is the man here. He has taught me more than anyone else. You will come to realize that. You need to go to the photography section and learn to tweak your phone.

Quote: reed on the edge I just wanted to share a little information. Did everyone know that in the old days, there were no reeded edges on the silver coins. People used to clip a little off the edge and turn it back to circulation. At the end of the month they had a nice pile. The coins got smaller. Sir Issac Newton came up with the idea to use reeded edges. If you clipped even one reed, it was no longer accepted.
