Here is a 1959-D 25c with a die crack running from the upper serif of the 1 to the U of TRUST. Can you see it? If not look closer. Can you see it now?

Looks like a line from a can-string phone system! Pretty fine as far as cracks go.

I noticed the die crack right away, but after taking a closer look I also noticed a big chunk of something on Washington's head... maybe you were zoomed in too close to see it

The area on the head is actually incuse; a strike through. Very deep. Wish I would have gotten a better shot.

If you start at the 1 and look very closely, concentrate very hard on following the crack minutely as it proceeds, you will eventually fall into a canyon.
