I just picked this one up in an old PCI photo grade slab. What do you think they graded it, and what do you think it should grade. Also, if you want guess what value you think it has. These are the seller pictures. Thanks for looking and all thoughts. This one has some cool die cracks too which add character. Edited by brenpickle 05/10/2015 10:57 pm

MS63. Reverse is stunning.
Contact marks are on the focal points of the obverse.
VERY nice fields and strong strike!!

Pcgs ms61/62, those face and field marks are tOO much in THE wrong spots... pci well it depends on what time frame it was slabbed denoted by the type of slab & label so without knowing I cant say if they over graded at a 65+ or if the were liberal at 63/64

I had that in my watch list. Congrats. I like those old PCI slabs, and hope to own one someday.

It's a Morgan dollar. I think it will go MS63. Since I can see it's in one of the old holders while Skip was a grader there, I'd guess they graded it MS60 90% White.

I too think a grade of MS63 from them, the holder is worth almost as much as the coin, don't crack it out! (Assuming this is the old large photo cert slab with photo on the right side).

Weatcoin it is the old large holder with the photo. Are these holders really that collectable? I had no plans to crack it and plan to keep this one and sell my other 1883cc because I do like this holder and have never owned one.

Not sure what they would have graded it but I have at MS62 possibly 63 depending on the marks on the chin and cheek. If they are more grazes just reflecting the light in a different direction MS63, if they are hard contact marks MS62. Another VAM5x ?

I need different pictures to be sure. See the two different brightnesses of the marks on the cheek? If this coin has any frost, the darker marks may not be worth attention from a grader. Or they may, but either way they're not as damaging in the real world as the brighter gouges. Still not reaching 63 for what I see despite the gorgeous reverse.
