Wow! Very cool holders. What do you look up to find the older ones? I would love some!

You can find these in a variety of places, coin shows, your local coin shop after they have had the coins removed. ebay occasionally will have someone who bought up old inventory from a coin shop that closed and that stuff goes rather quickly as I am not the only one looking for these types of holders.

None yet gryne, I was thinking about getting some to fool with but with all the albums I'm going through it kinda killed it for me plus they are very awkward even in a large safe I would think. Those are some awesome ones though. By the way, is that ike set in your "permanent" collection

I have a wall hanging of young head Elizabeth II 1953-64 in an old capital. Also complete US proof sets 1950-63 black Capital plastic holder and a complete white plastic Capital of 1858 - 1920 Canada Large cents.

Very nice! Do I even have to say which one is my favourite? Took me a while to scroll down to see the rest.

They look to me made of polycarbonate or acrylic plastic. Both materials OK for coins.

I love them and have one for 20th Century type coins, holds 41 coins (they have about 4 or 5 versions of the 20th century type set, each with a different number of coins, I picked the one with the most), one for Indian Head cents (again, they have 3 or 4 different versions), one for Westward Journey nickels, and one for my Sacagawea / Native American proofs. Am thinking of doing a Kennedy half one.

Here's one I have with a Stone Mountain half dollar. The coin in the holder is one of the first commemoratives that I ever purchased. Though I moved on to certified coins, I've always kept "my first" and enjoy having it in this particular Capitol Plastics holder.

Quote: I really like searching for obsolete holders and filling them Why did I never think of this before? That sounds really fun. Especially given that many of them are smaller sets. I get set fatigue trying to fill folders/albums. One local shop has these in their "junk" clearance bin quite often as they strip them for coins and toss the holders.
