Hey guys I am looking at getting a bank account in Washington state, I was wondering from reading posts on here that some banks have coin counters and some don't.

some charge for use, some don't.

Can anyone give me some tips? I have had a BoA account years ago, but I don't know if they have counters now or not.

Cheers

I am in NJ. Plethora of banks to choose from, but I use TD. They have the kid counter machine for the coins that I use all the time. Its free,I have my dump banks and my grab banks. TD is usually involved one way or another for me!

North, Being I am Canadian, I cross over the border a lot, and when roll hunting I get lots of US coinage, so I have a need to find an outlet to get rid of it.

I know there are BoA, and US bank all over watcom county, but I was hoping someone might know either a credit union or another bank. The 2 closest BoA and US banks don't have coin counters so I am not sure if others may or if as a company they don't?

I use Peoples Bank, which originated in Bellingham. I'm not sure if you need an account, but they never ask me when I get rolls.

Ok, an update. I went down today ( Victoria day) and found that US Bank in Bellingham has a free coin machine. They said that most likely after the summer it will convert to members only.

I dumped my US coins and man did that thing eat them up, it was like Coinstar modded with a Ferrari engine. It ate up a full bag of quarters in about 2 minutes, I could not get a second bag up on the machine before it was done.

Wow, just wow.

I ended up with $830 and that's after buying groceries at Walmart for about $80

Cheers
