My wife works at a restaurant, so I have her exchange my searched rolls for the unsearched rolls in her register drawer. Usually get a roll of quarters, a roll of dimes, two rolls of nickels and two rolls of cents every day. Always pull something of interest, today I pulled a '42 and '51-D nickels, and a strong VF '21-S wheatie.

Other than one or 2 teller tray scores I have never found anything in a few rolls I needed for some other cause VS. a whole box.

bought a single roll of halves one time - 10 walkers, 5 franklins, a 64 and the rest were 40% halves. that was when silver was in the 35-40$/range.

Does ten rolls of halves qualify as small quantity? My best haul to date was from ten rolls of CRW halves that yielded 10 40%, 3 90% and 10 clad proofs in excellent condition. By the way, welcome to the forum Cedric!

My best scores have always been from small amounts. I very rarely get whole rolls of halves, much less boxes. I usually get whatever is in teller trays. Years ago, I got seven rolls with 51 40%, and 12 90%, including a Walker! I came close yesterday. A teller had $28 in halves, with 40 40% and 3 90%. It'll be years before I see that again.

a while back, I asked the bank teller if she had half dollars... she only had 1 roll so I took it. it was a CWR and I could tell it was an old roll. when I was looking at it, I noticed written on the side it said "64' Kennedy halves"
sure enough, the whole roll was 64 halves. I was excited as a kid on christmas. still to date my best find and may forever be

Years ago, before I got deep into roll hunting, I got just one roll of nickels from my CU. There was a silver wartime nickel in that roll!

I once got a 1948 wheat in $1.50 in cents. That was a pretty good day. I've searched so much I barly remember getting anything less than a box, although in the early days I used to only get $5 of cents at a time.
